Cree Nation Child & Family Caring Agency is responsible for ensuring quality services are provided by following the practices and procedures in accordance with legislation and standards. The agency has adopted a quality assurance framework based on the principles of continuous improvement and building on agency strengths.
The following activities are integral to fulfilling this quality assurance role:
- special case or program reviews conducted under section 4 of The Child and Family Services Act;
- provide core standards reviews with agency staff; reviews where compliance with different standards is assessed each year;
- provide recommendations for the agency regarding the program reviews;
- follow-up on the risk assessment arising from reviews in previous years.
